The answer is yes, yes, yes! For sure, you need a spa blog and a newsletter. As a matter of fact, this was one of the topics in this month’s InSPAration Moments. We talked exactly about how to market to existing guests and then how to market and attract new guests to your medical spa and/or spa. A newsletter is a strategy you should practice to keep your database engaged and a medi spa blog should attract new clients from your website. YES, both are very important!

Once somebody visits your medi spa, do you want to keep them engaged so they come back to you over and over and over? A newsletter is definitely a must. Make sure there’s no confusion between a newsletter and just promotions. Promotional emails are when you’re trying to sell things. A newsletter is when you’re providing valuable content, so you can educate your guests on how to live a healthier lifestyle.

Don’t mistake these two issues. They are two separate things. Here’s my advice. Your medi spa newsletter should come out on the first of each month like clockwork. My newsletter, InSPAration Moments, comes out on the first of each month. No matter what, we’ve been doing that for the past 10 years. If you’re going to start a newsletter, make sure you do it consistently. That’s number one: consistency.

Your newsletter should contain an article, some health, beauty, wellness tips, maybe a Did You Know column, Ask a Question, Product of the Month, an event you have coming up, etc.

You can have a Question of the Month to educate your database. Include a cuisine recipe, something healthy so they can make it at home, and maybe a couple of promotions. These are ideas on how your newsletter should be structured. Remember, send it out on the first of every month.

Midway through the month, you can send out your promotions. So you are actually sending at least a couple of emails a month to communicate with your database and keep them engaged.

Here’s the tip on blogging. You can always take the information from the newsletter and you can do a vlog inside your blog. Actually, do a video like I’m doing with you right now.

So, you can either do a video or you can take a little bit of the newsletter information and put it on the medi spa blog and be able to again benefit from multi-purposing all the content that you’re going to create. Apply these strategies and see how your business will grow!
