Bio
Cindy Cobb is a Nurse Practitioner with thirty-six years in the medical field. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1979. She received a Master of Science in Health Services Administration degree from the University of St. Francis in 1992, a Master of Science degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist in Women's Health in 2005 from the University of South Alabama, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Chatham University in 2009. Cindy is currently certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Medical Esthetic Professional. In June 2014, Cindy was honored by being inducted as a Fellow by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Cindy provides aesthetic services to the Acadiana area since 2002 and was in training when Botox was approved for cosmetic use by the FDA. She was a certified trainer for Medicis pharmaceutical company, training physicians and nurses across the country in the use of Restylane, Perlane and Dysport.
As evidence of her commitment to ongoing training she lists the following most recent training between January and April of 2016: Ultherapy, Kybella, Bellafill, Radiesse, and lasers. In March 2016 Cindy was invited and attended the Allergan Master Injector Class. This class is by invitation only and is for seasoned veteran injectors only.
Additionally, Cindy has authored and publishes a Study Guide for Aesthetic Professionals who are preparing for the Medical Esthetic Professionals Certification Examination. Cindy serves as Test Administrator for the American Academy of Medical Esthetic Professionals certification examination. She is a Contributing Faculty Member for Walden University teaching leadership and management courses for nurses who are pursuing their Master's degree.
Not only is she committed to her competency as an aesthetic service provider but she also is committed to her profession and community. She serves on the LA Nursing Supply and Demand Council, LA Action Coalition, Louisiana Nurse Practitioners Foundation, and the Ragin Cajun Athletic Foundation.
